Orfa Barrios, Choreographer/Instructor

Orfa started dancing at a very young age under the direction of Sally Tierney. She continued her dance training at CCDS until graduating. She has studied all dance subjects and for the past several years has been a student assistant at CCDS. Orfa was one of the first students to win the Ruth and Bill Collins Scholarship. In 2016 she was awarded a scholarship from the Cecchetti International summer program. Orfa has passed the Advanced professional level Cecchetti VII as well as Teacher’s level three. In addition to many performance awards over the years, Orfa was awarded a very special four year scholarship from Dance Masters of America to attend Teacher Training School in Buffalo, NY. She has completed two years and is very excited to pass along her love of dance to other young students. Orfa teaches young dancers for Sally Tierney as well as here at CCDS.
