Samantha Doyle was named the 2005
Student of the Year on June 26, topping off a year of personal and
group dance excellence.
"Samantha
is a model student," commented studio director, Chris Collins.
"She comes to each class prepared to give 100% effort, she comes to
each performance and competition prepared to give 100% effort, and
backing up that effort is her incredible talent. Add in her
smile and personality and you have the perfect formula."
Collins continued, "Samantha hasn't
been dancing at our studio as long as some of her classmates, yet
she has put in the work that's necessary to excel and has become a
terrific all-around dancer and performer, and is truly a deserving
choice as out 2005 Student of the Year."
Joining Chris in honoring Samantha was
2004 Student of the Year, Allison Meyer, who added, "From the first
day I saw Samantha in class I was just in awe by her because she is
so amazing in everything that she does."
One
of Samantha's endearing qualities is her focus on team achievements
above individual glory. Samantha
modestly comments, "I have the best friends ever in this group.
I am so happy to be a part of such a fabulous group of girls."
She also understands the importance of
sharing her love of dance with the next generation of CCDS students,
so she volunteers time as a teaching assistant.
A 2006 graduate of Bishop O'Connell High
School in Arlington, Samantha hopes to pursue a
college dance degree.
Congratulations, Samantha! |
