On June 24, 2007,
Kerry Doyle became
the 31st student to earn the crown as the Chris Collins Dance
Studio's student of the year.
"Kerry
is a student that we might not have predicted as a future student of
the year back when she first started with us," said studio Director
Chris Collins. "Although she always
worked hard in class, she was initially more reserved. But in the
last few years every teacher has seen a major blossoming in
personality, performance, confidence and of course dance technique."
In addition to performing as a member
of the award winning senior dance company, Kerry shares her talent
and her love of dance with young students by volunteering as a
teaching assistant at the studio.
Collins added, "Kerry has consistently been committed to dance and has worked hard
to get where she is. She is a very dedicated and deserving Student
of the Year. We have watched her journey as a dancer in our studio
and are very proud of the young lady she is today. Kerry is one of
our most dedicated dancers and also a very dedicated teaching
assistant."
As she received the Student of the
Year honor, Kerry joined her older sister, Samantha, as the only
sisters to have ever both earned this honor.
